Facility Information Wind River Job Corps Center, located in Riverton Wyoming, is operated by Management & Training Corporation (MTC) for the U.S. Department of Labor. Located on the second bench above the Wind River Valley, the Center is one of the largest employers in Fremont County. Our staff teach approximately 300 youth, ages 16-24, the academic, technical training, employability, and social skills they need to become prepared for successful careers. A Job Corps campus is like a mini-city or small college campus. It has classrooms, dormitories, a dining hall, recreational, and medical facilities. Training is open entry, open exit and can last up to two years. Students work at their own pace, guided by academic and career training instructors who are committed to their success.
Wind River offers students training in ten vocations:
accounting, building & construction technology, carpentry, electrical, heavy equipment mechanic, heavy equipment operations, heavy truck driving, office administration, petroleum extraction technology, and welding.

Essential Functions Responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom environment, and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom instructor.
Implement instructor's lesson plans as outlined, assign student class work and maintain classroom control and discipline.
Take attendance and ensure students are in dress code in accordance to center policy.
Leave a report for the instructor and include what assignments were completed and behavior or students.
Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits.
Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff and other center customers.
Ensure students learn and practice set behavioral expectations that support employability and social development for career readiness success.
Support, promote and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy.
Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
Position is on-call, as needed. Pay is $17.10/hr
Education and Experience High school education or general equivalency diploma (GED) equivalent. Have or be able to obtain a Wyoming substitute teaching certification within 90 days of hire. Substitute teaching experience preferred. Experience working with youth, excellent written and verbal communication and computer proficiency required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
